NEW SYLLABUS - a guide to help you navigate the research module of the CIPS Professional Diploma
L6M4 *UPDATED COURSE FOR THE 2026-2029 SYLLABUS*
L6M4 is unlike any other CIPS module you’ve sat. Rather than having a huge textbook with facts and figures to memorise for an exam, this module is an open research assessment. This means there is no study guide, and no ‘set’ things you need to know. This can make it a little bit scary.
How do you know what you’re supposed to know for the exam?
This is why I’ve created this course.
This course contains the following:
1) Introduction - explaining the exam format and what CIPS expects from you
2) The Syllabus - a deep dive into each of the criteria you could be asked on in the exam
3) Themes and research - what you should be looking for, and how you're supposed to quote research in the exam when you're not allowed to bring that research into the exam
4) How to use AI to help you study (tips and tricks and things to avoid)
As well as the videos there are also downloadable resources to help you organise your revision AND this course is updated each time a new Theme is released with notes, guidance and practice questions for your theme.
Kindly note that this course has been completely redone for the 2026-2029 exam season, based on previous student feedback. I've made the layout much more user friendly and I'm providing more guidance than ever before.

I have to sit for my final paper and this was the perfect preparation course for me and I didn't even bother to look out similar course available in Udemy and other platform as Elizabeth has been my great mentor from the begining of my CIPS Journey and I wanted to complete this journey with her guidance and support.

I' m sorry but feel bit dissapointed. Thank you for the links related to the theme, but I was hoping to get at least one/two sample essays... Maybe it should be announced upfront that it would not include any sample answers. The information provided is, to be very honest very general and does not differ much what I have already found out from free online sources.

I’m usually very happy with this instructor’s content, but this particular course fell short. The information provided was very basic — things you can easily find online for free. While the delivery was clear and easy to follow, the content felt like a waste of money, especially at £29.99. There was also no mention of the updated theme for July 2025, which was a major letdown. I wouldn’t recommend this course unless you're just looking for a very general overview of the exam. A real shame, as I had higher expectations.
