Emotions can also detect through body postures. Research has shown that body postures are more accurately recognized when an emotion is compared with different or neutral emotion. Our individual body speaks depending on the circumstances example when you are angry your facial expression shows something is wrong. Finger gestures are also commonly used to exemplify one's speech as well as denote the state of well-being of the person making them.

While individual personality plays a role cultural backgrounds influence how people use their bodies, with significant differences existing between Western, Eastern, and Middle Eastern norms
