Course Overview
Learn Value Investing from a real value investor, independent board director, MBA, INSEAD IDP-C with PE/VC experience
This course consolidates 25+ years of experience & learnings as a value investor. You will learn the financial fundamentals of the stock market, money & inflation in order to find great companies at cheap prices. As Warren Buffett said, you do not need a PhD to become a good investor. It requires the mindset of a business owner not a speculator.
This course will teach you how to determine the intrinsic value of a company vs its current share price and also be able to judge if the company has solid financial fundamentals. Throughout the course I will be showing concrete examples using Vinley AI, a financial AI companion to make our investment process more efficient and productive.
UNIQUE CONTENT : In the last part of this course and as part of my own on-going research as a value investor for more than 20 years, I will share with you unique attributes on how to evaluate the moat of companies that only a few investors use and also how to capture customer and employee sentiment about a company.
The purpose of this training is to make you a seasoned investor and develop the right investment mindset while giving you the keys to read company financial statements and growing your wealth. I will teach you the fundamentals how to read financial statements like 10-K, 10-Q reports. After this course you will be equipped with a set of tests to understand the financial strength of a company.
Learn the art of value investing and get an edge. Investing in stocks and acting as a business-owner can be a life-changing experience.
Benefit from my 20 years experience as an investor running my own investment fund and rapidly move ahead faster with the knowledge I will share with you.

This is a very thorough course. Candi is very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter. The way he conducts each lesson, starting with the general definition and then moving on to real-world examples, works great, as you can see by yourself how all the metrics and calculations work - in fact, you are often asked to some calculations and analysis yourself, just like in a real classroom. This leads to some very effective learning. My only criticism, and it's a very minor one, is that it can be sometimes hard to follow the slides, which are all static and can contain loads of information all presented at once. A more dynamic style of presentation could be a potential improvement to the course.

This is not teaching! It's presenting. It is a real shame but just because someone is an expert in something, it does not automatically make them a good teacher. And we pay on this platform to be taught. Some concrete examples: 1. static presentations. The slides have a lot of information. Text to read and data tables. However, when Candi is referring to data on the table, it is very rare that the data he is referring to is highlighted. Which leaves me trying to figure out which item he is referring to (see item 2). This can be improved by using an online whiteboard and walking the students through exactly what Candi means. 2. Data unreadable on a laptop I have a 14 inch laptop screen. Because the presentations are static, i assume Candi needed to put himself on the screen to make the course seem less static. This however takes up screen real estate which means the numbers on the tables become too small, and therefore unreadable. This can be improved by having the presentation/whiteboard on the full screen and candi in a corner. 3. calculation walk throughs Candi has prepared his calculations and displays them on the presenation statically. Then talks about it. This must be improved by actually walking us through the calculations. showing us where the source is (go to yahoo finance, go to page, highlight where to get info). And then using a whiteboard plug those values in to his formulas. I could honestly go on... but good teaching practice means, fixing three problems at a time. I think these 3 are the low hanging fruit and would be big wins. It's obvious that Candi has put a lot of effort into making the presentations. But a presentation misses so many effective teaching practices. This course places 'value' central to the theme. Unfortunately, Candi's lack of teaching skills do not give value to the student.
