Course Overview

Dr Dan's Practical Strategies to Support Children with ADHD

Tips from a paediatrician on how parents can better understand ADHD and help a child with ADHD symptoms.

Why this course?

Parenting or supporting a child with ADHD can bring both challenges and strengths. Many families, carers, and educators are looking for reliable, evidence-based guidance presented in a way that is easy to understand and practical to apply.

This course is designed to provide clear information about ADHD, what it means for children, and a range of strategies that can be used in everyday life—at home, at school, and in social settings.

How this course is different

  • Evidence-based, practical guidance: The content is grounded in current research and clinical experience, but explained in plain language with a focus on everyday situations.

  • Developed for families and educators: Strategies are tailored not just for parents, but also for teachers and carers who support children in different environments.

  • Balanced and strengths-focused: ADHD is explored not only in terms of challenges but also in terms of creativity, energy, and resilience—helping families see the bigger picture.

  • Delivered with lived perspective: As a paediatrician, researcher, and father of three, I bring both professional knowledge and personal understanding of what it means to raise children who experience challenges with inattention or hyperactivity.

  • Friendships are difficult – Discover approaches like role-playing and structured practice to support your child in building social skills and stronger connections.

  • Self-confidence is low – See how celebrating strengths, encouraging resilience, and following passions can help children feel more positive about themselves.

We have spent thousands of dollars on a Psychologist, a Paediatrician and an OT. This is by far the best information I have come across to assist our son and also us as parents to understand ADHD. The practical strategies for at home, at school and in social situations is something no one has been able to explain to us as well as Dr. Daniel. I would make an appointment with Dr. Daniel if he was taking new patients.
