Learn AAA game design framework refined over 29 years to build production-ready systems and think like a studio designer
Want to design your own video game — or work as a professional game designer?
Everything starts with gameplay.
Great art can attract attention.
Great marketing can create hype.
But only great gameplay makes players stay.
In this course, you’ll learn a structured, professional method to design gameplay systems the way they are built in real studios.
Step by step, you’ll learn:
Which gameplay components must be defined first
How to design mechanics that are clear, balanced, and scalable
How to structure systems so they form a coherent, production-ready whole
In what order to assemble everything to avoid costly redesigns
You won’t just learn theory.
You’ll work through practical examples, focused exercises, and a professional gameplay checklist designed to keep your project on track and mistake-free.

Lovely course! If you are someone with a passion for game development/creation, this course is a great way to start. It provides great techniques for designing a concrete base for your game. I am usually someone that gets down to the nitty gritty(coding, animating etc.) before anything else, and this course has helped me start developing my game with a more solid foundation.

This is an amazing course! I was looking for something that actually dives deep into the core gameplay mechanics, and this was exactly what I needed. I am currently working on my own game, and this course helped me realize there were some missing elements in my core gameplay loop. Now, it's time to take my game to the next level and make it even better. Great course! Thank you, Pascal Luban!
