Course Overview

FreeCAD the complete course

The complete guide to learn FreeCAD

FreeCAD software

FreeCAD is a powerful CAD free and open source software to create 3D models. It is free and allows you to convert 2D projects into 3D models. FreeCAD is powerful with advanced features to create sketches, which offers numerous features to convert sketches in 3D models. This software allows efficient work in computer aided design. Based on a workbench system, it is possible to quickly navigate between different workbenches to optimize modeling. Some workbenches allow you to create primitive shapes for simple 3D models, while others are based on sketches to create complex models with unparalleled precision. The software allows you to work with surfaces, work with assemblies, technical drawings, and even to introduce models on different pages. FreeCAD is one of the best free software programs for working on 2D sketches and converting them into 3D models. It is possible to work on architecture, improve renders, and manage printing parameters for a 3D printer.

Training course

In this training course, you will learn how to use FreeCAD from scratch. By the end of the training course, you will be able to master all the features of Freecad. In this course, you will work with numerous workbenches, learning in detail the Part and Part Design workbenches, as well as features found in other workbenches. These workbenches will allow you to complete all your 2D and 3D projects. Learning the dashboard, mastering navigation, understanding the tools, features, and sketches that's what you'll learn in this course. Numerous exercises are also included to put the features into practice. You'll be given the opportunity to create technical drawings, different 3D models, and various parts.

Gaat wel erg snel. Soms wat warrig. Er wordt wel veel besproken.

An excellent introduction to the principle designing techniques to use in FreeCAD. It would be nice to see a follow-up course that focused on the use of FreeCAD in architecture and BIM(Building Information Modeling). Personally, I find that FreeCAD is quickly becoming a viable alternative to closed-source CAD solutions and is facilitating the use of CAD where it otherwise would not be economically feasible.
