Course Contents
Sketcher Workbench
The Sketcher Workbench is the foundation for creating 2D profiles that form the basis of 3D models. This course covers sketch operations such as trimming, extending, translating, rotating, mirroring, applying symmetry, closing, and complementing. Learners will also explore constraining sketches and performing sketch analysis. The differences between first-angle and third-angle projection methods are explained in detail, along with isometric, orthographic, and perspective views.
Part Design Workbench
The Part Design Workbench provides tools for creating solid part models. Students will learn to use features such as Pad, Pocket, Shaft, Groove, Hole, Rib, Slot, Multi-Section Solid, and Remove Multi-Section Solid. The course also covers dressing operations, transformation features, surface-based features, and Boolean operations for complex part modeling.
Assembly Design Workbench
Designed parts are combined to form assemblies. The Assembly Design Workbench includes assembly features, constraints, and part manipulation techniques. Learners will practice assembly analysis, use the “Stop Manipulation on Clash” tool, and apply the “Reuse Pattern” tool to streamline assembly creation.
Generative Sheet-Metal Design Workbench
The Sheet-Metal Workbench focuses on creating sheet-metal models using defined parameters. Operations such as rolled walls, bending, cutting, stamping, and transformations are illustrated with practical examples to help learners understand real-world applications.
Drafting Workbench
Detailed engineering drawings are created in the Drafting Workbench. Students will learn to generate 2D views of part, sheet-metal, and assembly models with proper dimensioning. The course also covers the application of surface roughness symbols, feature control frames, and welding symbols. The procedure for inserting frames and title blocks is explained comprehensively.
Generative Shape Design Workbench
The Generative Shape Design (GSD) Workbench is a powerful environment for wireframe and surface modeling. Learners will explore tools such as sweeps, blends, fills, and offsets to create complex 3D shapes. The course emphasizes managing design intent and producing smooth, manufacturable surfaces. Hybrid design—integrating Part Design with surfaces—is explained thoroughly with practical examples
What You’ll Achieve
By completing this course, you will gain the confidence to design, assemble, and document complex engineering products using CATIA V5. You’ll be equipped with practical skills that are directly applicable to industry projects and academic work. You will be ready to handle technical interviews and real-world design tasks.

SSriram Kavoor Balakrishna
If you’ve ever wished a CATIA V5 course would strip away all the unnecessary “polish” and “production value” and just deliver pure, unfiltered learning energy, Prashantha S Bhat has absolutely delivered. This course is a masterclass in *focus*. No distracting cinematic intros, no over-engineered visuals, no overwhelming depth that might confuse you with “too much expertise” too quickly. Instead, you get a beautifully direct, step-by-step journey where each lecture feels carefully calibrated to keep your expectations pleasantly… manageable. The pacing is especially impressive: topics arrive with a refreshing simplicity that makes it hard to get lost in advanced nuance, which is perfect if you enjoy learning in a way that keeps surprises to a minimum. One of the standout features is the presentation style. Prashantha’s English delivery has a wonderfully authentic, homegrown character—so genuine that it feels like the course is being taught live, in real time, by someone who is bravely choosing communication over choreography. It creates an immersive experience where you’re not just learning CATIA V5—you’re also training your brain to stay alert, adaptable, and deeply present. ### What I loved most * **Incredible minimalism:** The course wastes no time trying to “impress” you with fancy edits or overproduced explanations. * **Consistent structure:** Every lecture reliably feels like it belongs exactly where it is, and never tries too hard to exceed the title. * **Beginner friendliness:** It’s so approachable that even complex ideas are kept comfortably light, letting you enjoy progress without the burden of too much technical detail. * **Authentic instruction vibe:** The delivery feels raw and real—like learning from a friend who opened CATIA and decided to share the adventure immediately. Overall, this is the kind of course that makes you feel like you’re getting something truly special: a rare, unfiltered learning experience that doesn’t hide behind modern teaching “standards.” If you want CATIA V5 in its most straightforward, no-frills form—this is absolutely the course to get.
