The Fundamentals of Geology is an exam for professional licensing of geologists administered by ASBOG. While my exam can be useful as well for the PG exam due to the overlap between the two it is mainly geared towards FG learners. My three practice exams of 300 total questions are geared towards learning by doing. It mimics the actual questions you will encounter on the FG exam. Questions are written to be thought provoking and fun to aid recall. Rather than printing out exams and having to flip back and forth to check answers you will get instant feedback! All my questions have explanations to help you understand what you got right and wrong and provide the background you need to fully understand the material on the FG.

I have distilled previous exams and resources ASBOG publishes to present you with just the most relevant questions that you are likely to see on exam day. I only cover the domains that the ASBOG published in 2024. Many online ASBOG resources are expensive and require big time commitments. I was inspired to start making practice exams because many reviewers complain of the copious information covered in some of these resources that never shows up on the exam and the steep upfront cost.
