Learn about the business of acting
If you're serious about turning your passion for acting into a professional career, understanding the business side of the industry is just as important as perfecting your craft. The Business of Acting is a comprehensive course designed to guide aspiring and emerging actors through the essential knowledge needed to navigate the entertainment industry with confidence.
You'll gain a solid understanding of how the industry operates, including the roles of agents, casting directors, and unions such as ACTRA (Canada) and SAG-AFTRA (U.S.A.). We also explore how to effectively use online platforms to find opportunities and increase your visibility. You’ll develop practical self-marketing and networking skills, build professional relationships, and learn how to represent yourself confidently both online and in the room. Finally, we prepare you for your first day on set by teaching you the key protocols so you can focus on what matters most—your performance.

Suzanna and Meghan make this course extremely engaging. I love their insights and the clarity in each section of this course. The examples really help clearly illustrate the theoretical parts of the course and allowed me to really understand how to put the tools into practice! Loved this course!

This course is exactly what every aspiring actor needs but rarely finds—clear, practical, and brutally honest guidance on how the industry here actually works. Suzanna and Meghan bring years of real-world experience to the table and explain intimidating topics like agents, unions, and networking in an easy-to-understand and empowering way. The sections on audition strategy and online platforms are gold—packed with tangible tools you can use immediately. The breakdown of set etiquette will give newer actors the confidence to walk onto their first shoot knowing what to expect. If you're ready to move from "hoping" to "working" actor, take this course. Also, after seeing Meghan destroy Ben Stiller in the movie 'Brad's Status', that's how you know she can handle the business from us, to A-list Hollywood actors.
