WELCOME TO YOUR DIRECT PATH TO PASSING THE ISTQB FOUNDATION LEVEL EXAM!

Note: This course is designed to prepare you for the ISTQB CTFL v4.0 exam, providing comprehensive practice tests and strategies to ensure you're ready for exam day.

**LATEST UPDATE: Syllabus v4.0.1 Alignment

The ISTQB Foundation Level has undergone a significant shift. The old v3.1 syllabus retired in 2024. This course is built strictly on the new v4.0.1 Syllabus, incorporating modern concepts like DevOps, Agile testing, and the "Whole Team" approach.

What does this mean for YOU? If you use old practice tests, you will study outdated terms and miss critical new learning objectives. This course provides the most current and accurate preparation for the real exam you will take in 2026. Your "straightway" is clear!

I- ABOUT THE ISTQB CERTIFICATE

The ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) is the most widely recognized testing certification in the world. It is the gateway to a career in Quality Assurance.

Holding a CTFL certificate demonstrates that you understand the fundamental principles of software testing, making you a valuable asset to any delivery team (Waterfall, Agile, or DevOps).

I.1- The ISTQB v4.0 Exam Format

  • 40 Questions (Multiple Choice).

  • 60 Minutes to complete the exam (75 minutes if English is not your native language).

  • Pass Mark: 65% (You must answer at least 26 questions correctly).

  • K-Levels: The exam tests K1 (Remember), K2 (Understand), and K3 (Apply).

I.2- The Reference List (Important) All questions in this course are based on two official documents:

  1. The ISTQB CTFL Syllabus v4.0.1: The "bible" for the exam. Every question maps back to a specific section here.

  2. The Standard Glossary of Terms: Definitions of keywords like Regression Testing, Confirmation Testing, and Boundary Value Analysis.

II- ABOUT THIS COURSE

II.1- What does this course offer? This course uses the above references to build the most relevant practice tests. It is structured to help you master specific chapters before attempting full simulations.

Above all, when you need a straight path to your ultimate goal of passing the CTFL v4.0, this course is designed for you.

II.3- How do you self-assess? Your result after the first attempt at any practice test is significant.

  • Less than 50%: You must carefully reread Syllabus v4.0.

  • From 50% to 60%: You are on the right track, but review Chapter 4 (Techniques) specifically.

  • Over 65%: You are in the passing zone!

  • Over 75%: You will likely achieve a high score on the real exam.

II.4- Where to get more support? After enrolling in this course, you can ask questions through the course Q&A. If a specific K3 calculation (like a Boundary Value problem) confuses you, post it there for a detailed breakdown.

To pass the ISTQB exam, you need to understand the logic behind the testing principles, not just memorize answers.

Too many inconsistencies, i.e. asking for 2 point BVA and then marking the 3 points BVA as correct

The content is extensive and each explanation is very detailed, not only explaining why this answer is correct but also why the other options are incorrect. Highly recommended.

Approximately 25-30 questions on my ISTQB exam perfectly matched the content of this course. Highly recommended!

Great collection of practice tests. I didn't have time to read the whole syllabus book multiple times, so I used this to find my weak spots. The mock exams are tough, which is good because the real exam felt easier in comparison. If you want to pass without wasting time on old material, get this.
