Course Overview

PMI Green Project Manager (GPM-b)

Green Project Management and Sustainability Practices

Sustainable Project Management for Certified Practitioners™ course and the GPM-b™ | Certified Green Project Manager – Basic™ exam, this bundle gives you the knowledge, tools, and globally recognized certification to lead environmentally, socially, and economically viable projects.

Learn how to assess project impacts, build a Sustainability Management Plan (SMP), and integrate sustainability into every project phase. Then, validate your expertise by earning the GPM-b™, the leading certification for ethical project leadership.

Key Learning Objectives:

• Ability to apply sustainable project management principles: The GPM-b certification demonstrates a project professional's capacity to apply sustainable project management principles. This involves leading responsibly by aligning practices with environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and long-term economic success, ultimately driving results while building trust, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and contributing to a better future. This also means going beyond traditional project success metrics of time and budget to create lasting value.

• Proficiency in balancing business objectives with environmental and social responsibility: A core outcome of the GPM-b is the ability to effectively balance business objectives with environmental and social responsibility. This reflects an approach that targets and addresses the root causes behind global sustainability issues, focusing on meaningful, systemic change.

• Comprehensive understanding of the GPM P5 Standard for Sustainability in Project Management: The GPM-b certification is based on "The GPM P5 Standard for Sustainability in Project Management". Learning objectives include explaining the standard's different processes, categories, subcategories, and elements, and identifying practices related to product impact lenses (such as Product Lifespan and Product Servicing) and process impact lenses (such as Efficiency, Effectiveness, and Fairness of project processes). The P5 standard specifically expands the traditional triple bottom line of People, Planet, and Prosperity by adding Product and Process impacts.

• Familiarity with the PRiSM (PRojects integrating Sustainable Methods) methodology: The GPM-b examination content outline includes tasks focused on explaining the PRiSM method fundamentals, recognising management activities within a PRiSM project life cycle phase, and determining PRiSM supporting processes. PRiSM is described as the first methodology developed specifically for Sustainable Project Management, guiding teams through a phased life cycle (Pre-Project, Discovery, Design, Delivery, and Closure) while integrating sustainability principles. It is universally adaptable and aims to integrate sustainability principles directly into existing governance structures.

A good course that aligns well with the exam, though certain answers are wrongly marked.

This practice test was really helpful for preparation. The questions gave me a clear idea of what to expect and allowed me to practice in a realistic way. It’s a useful resource for anyone getting ready for the GPM-b exam.

Like the earlier review mentioned, the questions themselves are fine, but some of them have the wrong answers marked. I've shared my feedback with the instructor and indicated several answers that need to be corrected. There is also a minor issue with wording on many of the questions, which make them harder to read and understand. Both practice exams need a thorough scrub by an editor to fact-check answers and correct grammatical mistakes.

This mock exam gives a good idea about what kind of questions may come in the exam. However, I was surprised to see that several answers were marked as incorrect, even though I was certain that those answers were correct. The explanation below gives something different than what the correct answer is highlighted in MCQ. Since i knew in some cases that answers were wrong, I was able to catch it, but I am not sure if the same will be true for other correct answers as well. Additionally, in some explanations, it's noted that the reference is to the xyz section of the GPM guide. However, I have checked in GPM for Sustainability in Project Management and GPM Reference Guide. The section referred to in the explanation of answers is not giving a correct reference in either of these guides. So, I am wondering what trainer is refering to (may be old version of guide). Or May be I am missing something. So, take this mock exam with a pinch of salt. And yes, Udemy is not allowing asking for a refund, otherwise I would not have dropped the review. And yes, since I was the first one to take the course, I couldn't verify authenticity, but I took the leap of faith. I have a list of screenshots of all incorrect answers marked by Udemy. If anybody needs proof, kindly connect with me on LinkedIn. Unfortunately, I couldnt find udemy's email address where I could raise the complaint. I am not sure if this is Udemy's goof-up or Author's..
