Course Information
Course Overview
Recognize manipulation, stop gaslighting, protect your mental health, and understand toxic leadership dynamics
· Do you feel confused, undermined, or psychologically drained by your boss?
· Does your manager alternate between charm and humiliation, calling control “leadership” and manipulation “coaching”?
· Many people begin doubting their own perception long before they understand what is actually happening.
Indeed, working for a narcissistic or toxic boss can be deeply confusing.
This course helps you recognize narcissistic and toxic leadership patterns — and respond without losing your clarity or dignity.
It brings together psychology, ethics, and organizational behavior to restore clarity when power and manipulation distort everyday work. Understanding what is going on already brings some relief: you are not the only one who came through this experience, and you can learn what range of possibilities exists when working under a narcissistic boss.
We look at narcissistic traits versus disorder. We explore what a Grandiose Narcissist gets from the working environment compared to a psychopath or sociopath. We also review how empathy — or rather the lack of it — manifests across the Dark Triad. We examine how a Grandiose Narcissist gains narcissistic supply and the techniques used to secure it. It is logical to ask whether a narcissist can change, and we address that question as well.
We then turn to organizations: why these personalities rise, how incompetence amplifies toxicity, how organizations interact with narcissists, the role of enablers, company culture, and what HR can or cannot do to help.
We use ethics not as moral preaching, but as a lens that restores lucidity when manipulation makes everything vague. Kant’s sense of duty, Levinas’s idea of responsibility to the Other, and Nussbaum’s capabilities become tools for reorganizing your thinking, so you can see what is happening and respond coherently.
Ethics in this course doesn’t rescue you from the situation — it rescues your understanding, which is the first step toward psychological freedom. By the end, you will understand how narcissistic dynamics evolve, what options realistically exist inside organizations, and how to preserve internal dignity, clarity, and long-term freedom of action.
No matter what type of organization you work in, this course helps you explore the mechanics of narcissistic control in a relaxed and engaging manner.

I was working for a narcissistic boss once. The course describes clearly how to recognize these difficulties in the workplace and provides options and strategies to maintain your sanity and professionalism in such a difficult work environment. Really very useful if you are in such a work place right now. The teacher also did some thorough in-depth research on the topic.

I must say that I like the lecture content very much, how the material structured and explained!!! And it is very very helpful!!! I have the dream job and was on it 10 years but then narcissistic boss arrived, We both with the colleague suffered but he left. HR promoted narcissistic boss but now on the 5th year his superiors who supported him are disappearing and myself still working for him but contractually I have another manager responsible. "Light at the end of the tunnel arrived". So it is true that on a long run such bosses have no win, but it is of course quite challenging to live through such experience during number of years (of course with burn out etc.). This lecture is strongly recommended to everyone who found herself/himself in such situation. I hope I can get this lecture earlier, and the most difficult part going through this 5 years experience that HR does not do anything...
