Course Information
Course Overview
Learn a gentle Japanese head care method for relaxation and natural sleep support.
Did you sleep well last night?
Many people today experience light sleep, waking up during the night, or feeling tired even after waking. As we spend more time using computers and smartphones, our brains and nervous systems have fewer opportunities to truly rest. As a result, sleep quality continues to decline for many people around the world.
This course introduces a gentle Japanese head massage designed to support relaxation and better sleep.
Before we begin, there is something important I would like to clarify. The head care taught in this course is not medical treatment. It does not use strong pressure and does not require any professional license. You can practice it for yourself, for your family, or for people you care about.
You may notice the word “clients” in the course title. In this course, “clients” does not refer only to professional patients. It can also mean family members, partners, or anyone you wish to support through care.
I have studied acupuncture, shiatsu, and Japanese massage in Japan, and have spent many years practicing and teaching bodywork. Today, as the director of Japan Body Care Academy, I teach Japanese mind-and-body care techniques both in Japan and internationally. Through this experience, I developed a Japanese-style dry head care method based on the concept of KEIRAKU (meridians).
This head care focuses on the flow of energy through the head and the balance of the nervous system, using calm and gentle touch. No strong stimulation is used, and even in a short session, many people experience deep relaxation. The actual care time is about 17 minutes and is designed to be practiced about twice a week in a natural and sustainable way.
Rather than trying to change everything at once, this method helps the body and nervous system remember a sense of safety and calm. Over time, this creates a foundation for better sleep.
In this course, you will learn why head care is closely related to sleep, why gentle touch can be more effective than strong pressure, and how to approach the head using a safe and simple sequence. Both theory and practical techniques are explained clearly, and no prior knowledge is required.
This course is not a certification program and is not intended for medical diagnosis or treatment. It is a gentle introduction to Japanese-style care for sleep and relaxation.
This course is designed to stand on its own. At the same time, it represents only one part of how I think about self-care and daily body awareness. Some people complete this course and feel it is enough for them. Others begin to notice that their questions slowly change.
Begin by touching. Begin by feeling. From there, you can discover your own way of caring.
