Programme Aims
The Programme aims to cultivate students with a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic intersection between music, technology, and management principles. By integrating practical training and theoretical knowledge, this Programme seeks to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the music industry, with a particular focus on the vibrant entertainment sectors in Hong Kong, the GBA and the Mainland. With a strong emphasis on vocational preparation, the programme will equip students with the necessary expertise and competencies to embark on successful careers in the ever-evolving music industry.

Career Prospects
On completion of the Programme, graduates can work in creative media development of different organisations, pop culture companies, sound mix studios, post-production houses, advertising firms, and audio production department in television broadcast. Other job opportunities include musicians, sound designers, film music composers, sound technicians, sound engineers, music producers, artist managers, music show management, event management, etc.

Entrance Requirements

Entrance Requirements for Year 1: Please refer to the General Entrance Requirements for details. Programme-specific Requirements:

1. For HKDSE, the results of relevant ApL subjects will be considered in the application for degree programmes. Any relevant ApL subject in the field of music may be considered equivalent.
2. Applicants may be required to attend an interview.

Entrance Requirements for Year 3: Higher Diploma OR equivalent qualifications in a relevant area of study. Remarks:

1. Additional core modules are required (with fee charged) for sub-degree graduates according to the educational background of individuals.
2. All applicants are screened and selected by an Admission and Interview Panel. All interviews are conducted in Putonghua.

• The tuition fees are charged according to the number of credit points taken during a semester.

Programme Curriculum

This is a credit-based programme, which students will normally complete over 4 years (in 8 semesters). Students are required to take 120 credit points with modules as shown below and an Industrial Attachment module for work-integrated learning.
