I feel like Udemy should list pre-requisites before taking a course. I have next to zero knowledge of JS, JQuery and Bootstrap. The course overview implies that I'll learn those things, but it was almost as though I was expected to have experience in them already. Also, please list the date these courses were published. Maybe you did somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Not until I got mid-way through the course did I realize this was from 2013. The instructor was great, however, and he did teach the course well. My main complaints pertain to Udemy, and how the course was presented to me when I purchased it. Thank you.

Did not realize it was a 6 years old tutorial. There are several things that have changed in CI and that gave me some problems.

This is a really great course and the instructor is great, however, it does get very sloppy and disorganized for a few videos around sections 6 and into 7 with a missing video and some code added out of sequence. But with that being said it is totally manageable to get through this rough patch of videos thanks to user questions and comments in each video. My overall takeaway from this course was a great experience and I did learn a lot even though it is an older course. I particularly appreciated the detailed Javascript videos as js organization is something I struggle with from time to time and there is no doubt that this video will help me better organize my js code moving forward. Overall I would say this is an excellent introduction to Codeigniter and MVC for that matter as long you already have some working knowledge of procedural PHP. I found the best part about this course to be the way he took the time to organize the database model and api controller for reuse. This code along with the registration/login is definatly an asset that you will be able to reuse over and over again as a base starting point for many projects to help speed up your production moving forward. If it wasn't for the fact of the above-mentioned disorganized issue for a few video span and that it looks like the instructor has completely abandoned the course for a few years now, I would have rated this course 5 stars all day long! As stated this course is about 5 years old now so it was made you php 5.x version. I was able to completed the course using php7.2 and the Code Igniter 2.x "Legacy" Version with no major issues.
