The way he is teaching, it definitely seems like it's not geared towards people who's first language is English. For starters, he speaks way too fast. Some of the time, he will speak slowly, repeat the sentence, and break it down so you understand every part of it. Other times, he will just blow through the sentence very quickly, not repeat it, or repeat it quickly without breaking down the words in the sentence. Many of the sentences that he says far too quickly include igbo letters that are difficult for an english speaker to pronounce (gb, gh, kp), so when he says it so fast, it's difficult for me to understand how it's supposed to be pronounced. Half of the time, the translation is broken english, sometimes so broken to the point that I'm not sure what it actually means. Also, he either needs someone else to proofread his lessons, or he needs to read them over again. The notes and what's on the screen doesn't always match what he's saying. Example, for one of the sentences, the notes/screen says "nye" but what he's saying (which is how it's supposed to be) is "nye m", but he speaks so quickly that I'm almost surprised that I picked that up. In lesson 2 when we're learning different vocabulary and sentences to go along with it, he has the sentences up on the screen, but once it gets past the point of what's on the screen, the screen doesn't change, so we're hearing and learning words/sentences that are no longer on the screen, forcing me to pull up the notes on a separate tab and follow along with both (whereas I'm just trying to take my notes as I go, so I don't have printouts of his notes). All of this and I've only gotten up to lesson 3 so far. Speaking of, in lesson 3, he completely leaves out sentences that are in his notes. This is not what I was hoping for at all. Luckily I bought it when it was on sale instead of wasting $50. He seems like a pleasant fellow that just wants people to learn, but it could use some improvements.
