very informative watching you build the picture in layers. I appreciate the difficulty you had in viewing the painting at an angle to give us the best view and of having to do a running commentary. Overall I learned a lot and enjoyed the course.

I am loving watching the artist’s oil painting process: he uses a simple (affordable) palette, and explains the use of many types of brush strokes and paint application techniques. I feel like a lot of the mystery I believed existed around oil painting has been explained in a relatively short demonstration. It was exactly the course I needed to supplement another course I am taking about colour. Having a good foundation in portrait drawing with charcoal already, makes this course an easy and natural “next step” for me personally.

A home made video, the quality is not sharp and may be because the lights in the studio are not the best so for a class that is completely visual this doesn't help. Information given by the artist is too basic and simple. There are videos on Youtube where you actually appreciate the brushstrokes on a closer look.

The Videos don’t show the natural progression of the painting making it harder to follow tutorials.
