Instructor Bio Intro
Deborah is a qualified Aromatherapist with credentials earned through a progressive learning pathway. Completing her formal education and training at Sunderland City College in 2002, she progressed onto nursing studies and holds a BSc in Mental Health Nursing, along with qualifications in teaching. She now provides education and training opportunities through The Digital Holistic Therapist, recently rebranded from Calm Oasis Holistic Therapy, delivering structured, professional, and evidence-informed aromatherapy education.
Course Overview
Botanical aromatherapy is a professional wellbeing practice rooted in plant science, tradition, and safe therapeutic application.
This course introduces the foundations of aromatherapy through the Digital Holistic Therapist Botanical Wellbeing framework, providing structured, evidence-informed training for modern holistic practice.
You will learn how essential oils are produced, how they interact with the body and nervous system, and how to use them safely and responsibly. The course combines scientific understanding with practical skills, allowing you to confidently integrate aromatherapy into personal wellbeing routines or professional practice.
Unlike hobby-level courses, this training includes essential safety principles, blending techniques, and an introduction to the science and research supporting aromatherapy practice. You will also learn how to create simple aromatherapy preparations and understand the importance of proper storage, dilution, and quality selection.
This is Level 1 in the Digital Holistic Therapist Aromatherapy pathway, providing a strong foundation for further study and professional progression.
