Trigonometry for all-A holistic learning Adventure
Are you petrified of Trigonometry? You don't need to. Trigonometry is one of the easiest topics to learn and a good knowledge of Trigonometry will help you immensely in Calculus.
I am Suman Mathews, mathematics teacher and educator. I have a double master's in Math and a teaching experience of three decades. I hope to make Trigonometry easy for you through these videos.
In this course, you will learn about degrees and radians and how to convert one form to the other. You will learn about the domain and range of the basic trigonometric functions and how to graph them. You will learn the famous principle of A S T C and how to evaluate trigonometric functions in different quadrants measuring from the vertical and horizontal axis.
You are then introduced to Compound angles and how to calculate the sum or difference of these. A wide range of formulae are introduced which are immensely useful in Calculus.
Moving on, you learn about multiple and sub multiple angles in Trigonometry and how to use them in problem solving. Yet another extremely important concept used extensively in Calculus.
You'll also learn a very important concept, namely, understanding the difference between a principal solution and a general solution for a trigonometric equation. Learn priceless formulas on how to find the general solution of a trigonometric equation.
Explore Properties of Triangles-an important application of Trigonometry.
Learn how to calculate the period and amplitude of simple trigonometric functions. You'll learn the basics of parametric functions, polar functions and how to inter relate between these and the Cartesian equations. You'll learn how to find the parametric form of a Polar function and how to solve it. Learn through illustrated problems.
Learn how to solve problems on slope of a Polar Curve.
