This course will cover the ways of assessment the concrete structure. The ways and techniques of collecting the data and what the data you need to do the evaluation. You will have a check list to facilitate collecting data about the structures. The corrosion phenmonia and how to diagnosis the reasons of cracks will be presented. The concrete visual inspection and non destructive tests and the corrosion of steel bars test are discussed in detail from practical point of view. All these methods of inspection and detailed are using worldwide and match with the ACI, BS and european code. The repair and strengtehening for different concrete members like above skeleton from slab, beam and colum with different modes of failure will be discussed. In this course the other methods of repair and strengthening such as the repair method by using steel sections will be presented by a real example and practical methods. The adavnced repair method by using FRP which is very essential in some structures and need some special calculation and application will be illustrated in this course.
