Course Overview
Taking your projects from idea to done
Hi! I'm Sam, and I have over 10 years of project management experience leading teams on a wide variety of projects. I'm exited that you've chosen this course to expand your knowledge. Whether you're curious to learn about basic project management, or you've been selected as a project manager for the first time, this course will give you a comprehensive overview.
We'll define what a project is and explain the difference with programs. We review all aspects of the project life cycle, from the initiation phase and developing your project plan, to putting your project in motion and managing the work, to finally closing out your project. We'll also talk through project roles and responsibilities, basic project management skills, risk management, how to run productive meetings, and managing project changes. Finally, we'll talk about certifications, including the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
If you've never managed a project before, don't worry! This course is geared toward beginners, so you don't have to have any prior experience before taking the course. I'll give you the basic knowledge you need to start your project management career. This course also qualifies for PDUs from the Project Management Institute, so even experienced project managers can benefit from this course.
