Course Overview
- In the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” announced by the Education Bureau (EDB) in 2017, the core value of “child-centredness” was highlighted, emphasizing children’s inherent inclination for exploration. Consequently, young children are encouraged to learn through play and engage in artistic endeavors to enhance their perceptions and express thoughts and emotions.
- Play and art serve pivotal roles in fostering the holistic development of young children, thereby leading to a rising need for trained professionals in this area. Acknowledging this need, CUSCS has launched the “Diploma Programme in Children Play and Expressive Arts (DCE)” designed to offer professional training for individuals aspiring to join the early childhood education industry. This programme aims to equip participants with the skills to nurture children’s creativity, imagination, communication, and cognitive abilities, thus facilitating the growth of each child.
- The DCE Programme also includes a Homeform Teacher System. The caring homeform teacher offers guidance and support, ensuring that students experience a smooth transition to college education.
