課程簡介
INTRODUCTION
Hong Kong’s ESG reporting requirements are becoming more rigorous. For financial years commencing on or after 1 January 2025, listed companies are required to comply with the revised HKEX ESG Reporting Code, which strengthens alignment with the ISSB Standards and incorporates key climate disclosure principles from IFRS S1 and IFRS S2.
The enhanced framework requires stronger disclosure on governance, strategy, risk management,
metrics and targets, greenhouse gas emissions, climate-related risks, transition planning, scenario
analysis, and climate resilience. LargeCap issuers will be subject to mandatory climate disclosure
requirements from financial years commencing on or after 1 January 2026, while other issuers will
follow a phased “comply or explain” approach.
This course equips directors, managers, ESG practitioners, engineers, consultants, and business
professionals or NGOs with practical knowledge and tools to develop and implement an effective ESG framework. It covers ESG strategy, materiality assessment, carbon accounting, climate risk management, stakeholder engagement, and implementation planning.
Participants will learn how to meet evolving ESG requirements, align with international standards,
and turn ESG from a compliance obligation into a driver of resilience, competitiveness, and long-term business success.
