Updated course in showcalling for Stage Management Students

Learn about the differences between showcalling for theatre and corporate events

The videos in the course have been updated in early 2026 to reflect changes in the industry since it was first published. If you are already subscribed to the course you will also get the benefit of these updates.

The course will is give you a good understanding of the skills required in corporate showcalling. The advantages of coming from a theatre background when entering the corporate showcalling world.

It is now common to stream events alongside the conference taking place for the live audience. Additional videos give some background into hybrid working

You will learn about all the technical departments involved on a corporate conference or event together with the roles of the producer and the involvement of the client. How you relate to each department and how you manage converting your notes into a showbook from which you can call the event.

Showcalling involves more than just calling cues and what you learn in theatre is incredibly helpful when moving into corporate events

Videos give you a step by step walk through of all the roles and the process for a showcaller from arrival on site to delivery of the show.

There is a short video demonstration of how it sounds to hear a show called at the end of the course..

I wish I had this course 20 years ago when I started in the corporate theatre business. I started as PA and wore many hats eventually running GFX and designing decks. I’ve been exposed to show calling of course but now I find myself doing it more often. I feel like such an imposter! 😆. I would love to find a teacher/ mentor to help refine and communicate more effectively. Thanks for this course! I wish the part where you demo show calling is the best! Wish it were longer.
