Course Overview
- The principal objective of the LLM(T&IPL) programme is to offer a range of courses that provide a sound legal understanding of various aspects of the rapidly developing fields of technology law, intellectual property law, and the intersection between the two. This includes topics such as the legal and ethical implications of artificial intelligence, technology and legal services, competition law and the tech sector, big data, data mining, data protection, cybercrimes and security, regulation of Internet platforms, 3-D printing, nanotech, fintech, protection of computer programmes and algorithms, digital remixes and user-generated contents, as well as online streaming.
- Subject areas will be regularly expanded and updated to ensure that students are able to understand and analyze contemporary legal issues in this area.
What You’ll Learn
Subject to satisfying these entrance requirements, applications are considered for admission based on factors including the applicant's academic record, their relevant experience, academic and other references, the quality of their personal statement, and other information submitted in the application. Admission decisions will be made in light of other applications received and subject to admissions quota, if any.
