Course Overview
The course is intended to provide in-depth knowledge of grape growing and wine making as well as their influences on the final wine style, quality and price. The in-class tasting will be grouped by wine style rather than by country to strengthen students’ understanding of the important concepts of style and quality. On top of a brand new course design and structure, the course textbook, study guide and complementary teaching materials are completely upgraded to enhance students’ learning experience.
Throughout the 18-lesson (2.5 hours per lesson) course, individuals will be tasting more than 100 wines. At the end of the course, students will be able to make accurate wine assessments and explain wine style and quality with confidence. We strongly recommend that students should have completed the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines course or other equivalent courses though there is no prerequisite to attend the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines. This course is suitable for wine trade professionals and for wine enthusiasts wishing to build thorough wine knowledge.
