This workshop aims to provide attendants with a one-stop shop of essential and basic legal knowledge vital for human
resources professionals when dealing with various scenarios that they may commonly come across in workplace, including
but not limited to key legal provisions and legal concepts in relation to their daily practice, the difference between “contract
of service” and “contract for service”, the introduction to the recent amendments in Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap.
486) and Sexual Discrimination Ordinance (Cap. 480), and the general understanding of dispute resolution. The latest and key
developments in relevant areas would be touched upon with reference to statutory provisions and leading case authorities.
