Course Overview
The main objective of this course is to enhance the participants' communication skills with diverse communities by first developing a better understanding of who they are and the impact that society has had in the development of their self-concept. Through the training provided in the course, participants will become aware of their present ways of communicating (behaviourally and cognitively) by examining the cognitive activities that shape communication, and addressing issues of stereotyping, power, ethnocentrism, diversity, and self-esteem. The skills acquired can equip them with powerful tools to communicate and build positive human relationships in the workplace.
