Learn The “Swiss Army Knife” Of Business Productivity From A Top SharePoint Consultant
Build your own collaboration sites – no tech skills needed!
Microsoft SharePoint has been called one of the most powerful tools that exist today for business collaboration. Steve Ballmer once said that SharePoint “unleashes a suite of capabilities that dramatically improves the way people work.”
But what does SharePoint actually do, and how do people and businesses actually use it? In this introductory course, our trainer, SharePoint architect and Microsoft certified technical specialist Idaho Edokpayi, demonstrates the basics of using SharePoint and SharePoint Online and shows you how to maximize its capabilities.
In just fourteen short lessons, Idaho demonstrates how SharePoint can be used to store documents and information, build intranet websites, and securely share files. You’ll not only be able to navigate and use SharePoint sites, but also create your own sites for communication and documentation. You’ll also learn how to customize your sites to reflect your specific needs.
Topics covered include:
Creating Team Sites to share documents and other collaborative information
Creating and editing Communication Sites
Navigating the SharePoint platform
Working with documents
Working with Major Versions and Minor Versions
Using Check-In, Search, Recycle Bin, and List Apps
Customizing your sites

The whole question-anwser thing between a tutor and a student is quite helpful! Everything is explained very logical and detailed, without escalating. There is a lot of well explained content within these two hours. The music sounds like it is 20 years old ^^

Good explanation of what SharePoint can do and how to get around in SharePoint. Suffers some from the lack of a real world example of SharePoint being used. Much of the examples are dummy sites created just for the course with little detail or few files.

I really liked the class. I need to know how to enable my "Enable with Explorer" feature from the library to connect it with onedrive. I have onedrive synced with SharePoint but everything is only available online. It's a problem if moving large volumes of documents. Do you have a suggestion of what class to take or do you know? I learned a lot in this class. However, is this for administrators only? You see all the features shown in this were not available to me. What do you think? I'm not an administrator and have a variety of problems copying and moving within the online system. Any suggestions? Especially where I can't connect to One Drive in a regular versus an online version. This instructor is very responsive to questions.
