Master Microsoft Planner: Create Plans, Manage Tasks, and Integrate with Teams and Outlook
Microsoft Planner is a project management application developed by Microsoft that allows teams to create, assign, and organize work visually. With this web-based application, companies can better facilitate teamwork, as well as improve progress visibility and coordination. This course is designed to teach students the basics of Planner and help them gain familiarity with both the benefits and functionality of the application.
Students will learn to create a new plan, use boards and buckets, work with members and tasks, and manage notifications. They will discover how to change views to better suit their workflow needs, ensuring that they can keep track of their projects more efficiently. Exporting data to Excel is another key feature covered in the course, which allows users to sort, filter, report on, and share their plans with people who aren't members of the plan. This can be particularly useful for generating reports and sharing progress updates with stakeholders.
Additionally, the course will cover how to integrate Planner with other Microsoft applications. The course will also explain how to create a calendar feed to add key plan dates to Outlook Calendar, ensuring that all team members stay updated as the plan progresses. In summary, this course provides a comprehensive overview of Microsoft Planner, equipping students with the skills needed to effectively manage and coordinate their projects.

I had a very difficult time. She talked too fast and moved from one item to another too fast. When someone is a true beginner as I am, they need to be able to move slowly through to retain. Can the course be repeated with no charge?

My manager uses this for organizing project work for the staff. I want to see about using it for my projects & other departmental assignments.

Clearly communicated at the right tempo. I would have liked to see some suggestions on best practices in segmenting boards with buckets and label ideas for project management but enjoyed the lessons.

I had some previous knowledge and using planner within Teams so not all of the features talked about are available. Worth it to find out about promoting a checklist item and labeling tasks to colour code!
