not seeing much structure here so far -- it would be so much better if there was a clear concept explaining why you need certain aspects and then how to set them up. Why on Earth should we go at regurgitating cheque numbers meticulously instead of introducing some useful concepts and an answer to the question how they are implemented in GnuCash! Still hoping to be able and filter out those concepts that do matter on my own in the course of this tutorial and, if so, will move my rating up accordingly... EDIT: Would have loved to give it a step up here, but actually found that the next parts were even more of a mess and utterly confusing. Looks for a trial balance, doesn't find it nor bothered to check before recording the lecture -- then stumbles across one much later when it really doesn't matter anymore! It seems the lecturer made it all up on the fly, did not fix errors, "surprises" of the system and other mis-clicks (let alone bothered removing them by editing the recorded portions of the videos) and, as a result, is really terribly hard to even follow and listen to. So another half-star lost instead. Sorry, but this isn't very helpful. It also doesn't do the excellent GnuCash accounting software justice.I can see that the lecturer is fluent in the Accounting concepts, but clearly she fails delivering them in a polished lecture or even an understandable format to beginners or accounting non-experts. I do love GnuCash, so I was excited to find this course and maybe fix my UK Ltd Company VAT accounting in the process, but really this isn't it -- at all!
