Too easy for someone who's already familiar with IaC principles and workflows. I'd rather build a real server or an app or something more tangible. I kinda feel like I am wasting my time.

There a re two instructors in this course who have developed learning sections (they call labs) separately, the development you are doing with one instructor does not necessarily match the development the other instructor will have you do. You just have to be aware and track the lessons from one instructor and the other separately, create some backup files for one case and the other if you don't want to mix or loose some configurations the other instructor will want to go back to in a later lab. Since the time videos were recorded ,Terraform and AWS have changed policies and specific topics, commands, or syntax in the course material will be deprecated or will not apply as the instructors are showing. However, these are not many cases, and you can just look up the errors and troubleshoot as you would do in a real-case scenario. This is not an AWS course, but we used AWS throughout it. The instructors don't show all the necessary IAM permissions to run all the infrastructure resources, you may need to manually assign a lot of extra permissions to the terraform user in AWS, you will find many errors when managing resources in EC2, S3, Autoscaling, IAM and DynamoDB. If you take this course, as a recommendation try to always destroy the infrastructure you create to avoid running out of AWS credits. Also do the "Explore AWS" activities inside of AWS to gain extra credits and use AWS for free longer. Overall good introductory course to Terraform that forces you troubleshoot Terraform and research and learn AWS on your own.
