Introduction

- ISO 27001 is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls that protect information assets and give confidence both to the organization and to other interested parties.
- It applies to all types of organizations including commercial enterprises, government agencies, and not-for-profit organizations in the manufacturing, service and software sectors, and embodies the OECD principles governing security of information and networks systems
