(A) Assessment Items and Their Weightings: Module 1 - Final Exam (30%) - Test (20%) - Case Studies (20%) - Presentation (20%) - Class Participation (10%) Module 2 - Final Exam (40%) - Case Studies (30%) - Presentation (20%) - Class Participation (10%) Module 3 to 4 - Final Exam (40%) - Test (30%) - Case Studies (20%) - Class Participation (10%) Module 5 to 6 - Case Studies (30%) - Presentation (20%) - Project (40%) - Class Participation (10%) (B) Completion Requirements and CEF Reimbursement Requirements: (1) At least 70% of the total contact hrs of the CEF course (2) obtain overall pass grade D (which is equivalent to 50%) for each module.
Entry Requirement / 入學要求
(A) HAVE 5 PASSES IN THE HONG KONG CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION EXAMINATION (INCLUDING ENGLISH LANGUAGE) OR EQUIVALENT, AND WITH AT LEAST 2 YEARS’ WORKING EXPERIENCE IN THE RELATED FIELDS; OR (B) HAVE LEVEL 2 OR ABOVE IN FIVE SUBJECTS IN HONG KONG DIPLOMA OF SECONDARY EDUCATION (HKDSE) EXAMINATION (INCLUDING ENGLISH LANGUAGE), AND AT LEAST 1 YEARS’ RELATED WORKING EXPERIENCE; OR (C) MATURE STUDENTS AT THE AGE OF 21 OR ABOVE WITH AN INTEREST IN ARBORICULTURE, TREE MANAGEMENT OR THE PROTECTION OF TREES ON DEVELOPMENT SITES. THEY WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS.

QUALIFIED TEACHING STAFF WILL BE RECRUITED, PREFERABLY WITH A HIGHER DEGREE IN ARBORICULTURE OR HORTICULTURE OR RELATED DISCIPLINES AND AT LEAST ONE YEAR TEACHING EXPERIENCE.
