(A) Assessment items and their weightings: 1) Academic Writing 3: Writing Skills for Dissertation and Research Project - Coursework (100%) 2) Construction Project Management 1 - Test (50%) - Coursework (50%) (B) Completion Requirements and CEF Reimbursement Requirements (1) Module mark at least 40%, with at least 40% in each component; AND (2) At least 50% of overall mark; AND (3) Attain a minium attendance rate of overall 70% of the total contact hours
Entry Requirement / 入學要求
(1) Graduates from relevant VTC Higher Diploma (HD) or Professional Diploma (PD) programmes or equivalent: (A) Graduates of the following VTC HD programmes: (i) HD in Building Studies (ii) HD in Civil Engineering (iii) HD in Surveying PLUS a pass in the bridging module Land Surveying for Construction Management* OR (B) Graduates, with at least three years of relevant work experiences, of the following VTC PD programmes awarded with either merit or distinction: (i) PD in Construction Management (ii) PD in Construction Site Supervision PLUS a pass in the bridging modules Construction Law for Construction Management* and Land Surveying for Construction Management* (2) Mathematics and English Language Entry Requirements (i) All candidates must be able to demonstrate competence equivalent to a HKCEE Grade E or HKDSE Level 2 in Mathematics. Applicants from the approved VTC feeder programmes are considered to have met this requirement. (ii) All candidates should have attained a minimum overall International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS) score of 6.5 or equivalent. Holders of VTC HD or PD (at merit or distinction) taught and assessed in English are considered to have met this requirement. OR (3) Applicants from Non-Feeder Programmes (i) Non-feeder applicants holding equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. (ii) Applicants who are not from the approved VTC feeder programmes should have successfully completed a HD, PD (at merit or distinction) or Associate Degree taught and assessed in English from a recognized institution in Hong Kong or equivalent, or alternatively they should have attained a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent. (iii) Applicants must be able to demonstrate competence equivalent to an HKCEE Grade E or HKDSE Level 2 in Mathematics^. [*Bridging modules can be waived through modular exemption by relevant prior study.]

(a) Master’s Degree and/or equivalent professional qualification (b) a minimum of 4 years’ relevant teaching/working experience [On an exception basis, teaching staff who do not fully meet the above appointment criteria will only be appointed with justifications supporting the candidates’ capability to teach the module.]
