(A) Assessment Items and Their Weightings: (1) Content1*: Continuous Assessment (CA): 100% (2) Content1*: End-of-Module Assessment (EA): 0% (3) Content2*: Continuous Assessment (CA): 50% (4) Content2*: End-of-Module Assessment (EA): 50% (5) Content3*: Continuous Assessment (CA): 50% (6) Content3*: End-of-Module Assessment (EA): 50% (B) Course Completion Requirements: (1) Overall passing mark: 40% (2) Passing mark for each assessment item / module: (i) Vocational English: Presenting Simple Information and Ideas in Writing: 40% (ii) Foundation Engineering Mathematics: 40% (iii) Introduction to Mechanical Engineering and Safety: 40% (C) CEF Reimbursement Requirements: (1) Overall passing mark of 50% or above for each module. (2) Satisfy the minimum attendance requirement of 70% for each module.
Entry Requirement / 入學要求
(1) Completion of S3, or equivalent, with 1-year working experience; or (2) Completion a QF Level 1 programme, or equivalent, with 2-year working experience; or (3) Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above with at least two years’ relevant work experience, may also be accepted. Where appropriate, the applicant may be required to pass an entrance assessment, which can be in an oral and/or written form.
Instructor's Qualifications / 導師資歷
(1) A relevant recognized degree, or equivalent and 3 years' relevant experience; OR (2) A relevant recognised Higher Diploma, or equivalent, with 3 years’ relevant experience and pass in a trade test; OR (3) 8 years of experience in relevant industry and/or teaching and pass in a trade test.
