Assessment Methods / 評核方式
(A) Assessment Items and Their Weighting: (I) Courses 7, 11-14, 16-18, 20-26, 30-34, 36 (1) Continuous Assessment: 60% (2) Examination: 40% (II) Course 15 Students are expected to keep up with all assignments, and come prepared for each class discussion. Two exams and two book reviews are required. (1) Continuous Assessment: 60% (2) Examination: 40% (III) Courses 1-6, 8-10, 19, 28 (1) Continuous Assessment: 50% (2) Examination: 50% (IV) Courses 27, 29, 35 (1) Continuous Assessment: 100% (B) Completion Requirement: (1) obtain at least 50% overall passing mark for each module taken; (2) complete a total of 60 credits and obtain at least 20 points for the Learning Enhancement Activities Plan (LEAP) from volunteer activities or extracurricular activities; and (3) obtain a cumulative GPA of 1.67 or above (equivalent to grade D) (C) CEF Reimbursement Requirements: (1) obtain at least 50% overall passing mark for each module taken; (2) complete a total of 60 credits and obtain at least 20 points for the Learning Enhancement Activities Plan (LEAP) from volunteer activities or extracurricular activities; and (3) obtain a cumulative GPA of 1.67 or above (equivalent to grade D) (4) at least 70% attendance rate in total contact hours.
Entry Requirement / 入學要求
A. Level 2 or above in five HKDSE subjects including Chinese Language and English Language; or B. A recognized Diploma Yi Jin / Diploma; or C. Aged 21 or above showing suitability and competence in taking the programme; or D. Successful completion of senior secondary 3 and obtain 90 or above in Chinese and English subject; 300 out of 750 of full marks in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), PRC; and Good command of Chinese and English; E. Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed by LIFE
Instructor's Qualifications / 導師資歷
Applicants should have (i) a Master’s degree or above in relevant discipline; (ii) a native or near-native Japanese proficiency in the respective subjects (for Japanese subjects/courses); (iii) qualification in PSC Putonghua Proficiency Test at Level 2 or above are preferred for Chinese Language and Putonghua courses (for Putonghua subjects/courses); (iv) candidates with N1 in Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) are preferred for Japanese Language courses; (v) at least 6 months or above relevant teaching experience at tertiary education sector.
