Entry Requirement / 入學要求
(1) Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) (i) Level 3 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language; and (ii) Level 2 or above in Mathematics (compulsory part); (iii) Attained in Citizenship and Social Development; and (iv) Level 3 or above in two elective subjects* * One of the elective subjects must be a Category A subject (excluding Extended Part of Mathematics (Module 1 or Module 2)). Extended Part of Mathematics (Module 1 or Module 2) and Category C subjects (Other Languages) at Grade C or above, or Applied Learning Courses (either Health Care Practice or Foundation in Chinese Medicine) with “Attained with Distinction (I) or above” can be recognised for fulfilment of the second elective requirement. Or (2) Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) and Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (i) HKALE Grade E or above obtained in any two sittings: (a) AS Use of English; and (b) AS Chinese Language and Culture; and (c) Either two AL subjects or one AL subject plus two AS subjects and (ii) HKCEE Level 3/ Grade D or above in English Language (Syllabus B) AND Level 2 / Grade E or above in at least five subjects^ including Chinese Language in a single sitting (^The total grades of these five subjects are no less than 8 points.) Or (3) Other qualifications deemed acceptable by the School as equivalent to the General University Admission Requirements Or (4) Applicants aged 25 or above with acceptable qualifications to justify admission
Instructor's Qualifications / 導師資歷
(1) Academic qualification: A master's degree or doctoral degree in relevant discipline; and (2) Professional qualification: A Registered Nurse with valid practicing certificates; and (3) Working experience: At least 5 years of relevant working experience in health care sector

Respiratory Failure and Mechanical Ventilation I (2.5 hours) iv. Mechanical ventilation II and Tracheostomy Care (3 hours) v. Lung Trauma and Injury; Lung Cancer and Under-water Seal Chest Drain (3 hours) 2. Medical and Surgical Nursing in common disorders in Musculoskeletal system: i. Fracture; Sprain; and dislocation (3 hours) ii. Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gouty Arthritis and Ankylosing spondylitis (3 hours) iii. Osteomyelitis, Pyogenic Arthritis, Tuberculosis Spondylitis And Gangrene (3 hours) iv. Degenerative disorders, Osteoporosis, and Osteomalacia (3 hours) 3. Medical and Surgical Nursing in common disorders in Genitourinary system: i. Acute Kidney Injury, Chronic Kidney Disease And Renal Replacement Therapy (2.5 hours) ii. Nursing care of patient with CAPD (1.5 hours) iii. Urinary Incontinence and Urinary Retention (1.5 hours) iv. Urinary Tract Infection; Cystitis; Pyelonephritis; Glomerulonephritis; Nephritic Syndrome and Urinary Calculi (3 hours) v. Polycystic Kidney, Tumour, and Traumatic condition (3 hours) Tutorials 1. Tutorial 1: Problem-based learning / Case study on a respiratory condition with scenario provided (1 hour) 2. Tutorial 2: Problem-based learning / Case study on a genitourinary condition with scenario provided (1 hour) Laboratory sessions 1. Lab1: Care of tracheostomy: Suction and dressing (3 hours) 2. Lab 2: Care of chest drain (3 hours) 3. Lab 3: Bladder irrigation; CAPD; Revision on Urinary Catheterization (3 hours) 4. Lab 4: Stump bandaging; Plaster of Paris, Abduction pillows, assist in weight-bearing exercise (3 hours)
