Overview
The Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) jointly offers a top-up degree programme with the University of Greenwich. This bachelor degree programme aims not only to prepare students in strengthening their business and management knowledge, but also to develop their analytical skills. This Greenwich bachelor degree programme is tailored specially for holders of Associate Degree, Higher Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Professional Diploma, etc.
The programme aims to prepare students for careers in business and management by developing in them, a systematic, broad, analytical business. The programme specifically studies organizations, business and management and the changing external environment in which students for careers in business or consultancy by equipping them with both practical skills that enhance their employability in business, communication and interpersonal skills which will provide the foundation for lifelong learning. “With” programmes additionally enable students to 7 different subject specialization including Business Studies, Event Management, Finance, Human Resource Management, Logistics, Digital Marketing and E-Business.
HKMA ADMS/ADBM*, businessrelated higher diploma or associate degree holders may directly enter the 3rd year study of the BA (Hons) Business Studies programme covering 4 modules. Whereas HKMA professional diploma and other ordinary diploma holders may enter the 2nd year study covering a total of 6 modules. The admission criteria set out the necessary professional qualifications, business knowledge and experience required by the University when offering Advanced Standing status to a student. The BA (Hons) Business Studies offers a series of programmes with the final subjects in different areas indicating different specializations including Business Studies, Event Management, Finance, Human Resource Management, Logistics, Digital Marketing and E-Business.
Entry Requirements
- For entry into Year 3
- Holders of Diploma in Management Studies (DMS)/Advanced Diploma in Management Studies (ADMS) jointly organised by Hong Kong Polytechnic and the HKMA/Lingnan University and the HKMA, or equivalent qualification, such as relevant Advanced/Higher Diplomas or Associate Degrees from institutes such as VTC, HKU SPACE, CUSCS, CityU SCOPE, HKCC, HKBU SCE, etc. Or
- For entry into Year 2
- Holders of Professional/Advanced Diplomas awarded by the HKMA or equivalent qualifications from recognised post-secondary institutions.
English Proficiency
Applicants must be proficient in English Language and are required to provide evidence of proficiency if educated in a language other than English:
- IELTS overall band score of 6.0 or above;
- TOEFL 550 or above;
- Grade D or above obtained from HKCEE English (Syllabus B);
- Grade D or above from HKALE English Language; OR
- Level 3 or above from HKDSE, etc.
