(A) Assessment Items and Their Weightings: (1) Continuous Assessment (60%) (i) Test (18%) (ii) Group Project (24%) (iii) In-class Exercises (9%) (iv) Individual Assignment (9%) (2) Examination (40%) (B) Completion Requirements: To pass this subject, students are required to obtain Grade D or above in both the Continuous Assessment and Examination. (C) CEF Reimbursement Requirements: (1) Pass the course by attaining at least 50% of overall assessments marks; AND (2) Fulfil the attendance requirement of 70%
Entry Requirement / 入學要求
(i) For HKDSE Qualification Holders: -Level 2 in five HKDSE subjects(1) including Chinese(2) and English. Applicants are allowed to use Applied Learning (ApL) subjects(3). (ii) For Holders of Other Qualifications: -The equivalents of the above requirements. For those who do not possess the above-mentioned qualifications but have reached the age of 25 before 1 September in the admission year, they may apply as “mature” applicants. Mature applicants are expected to demonstrate proficiency in English as well as suitability to study for the programme to the satisfaction of the admission panel. Note: (1) If one of the five HKDSE subjects is Citizenship and Social Development subject, the minimum entrance requirement would become “Attained” for Citizenship and Social Development subject and Level 2 in four other HKDSE subjects including Chinese and English. Besides, Level 2 in Mathematics Extended Part (Module 1 or Module 2) is also recognised as one of the five HKDSE subjects in fulfilling the minimum entrance requirement. (2) For non-Chinese-speaking learners, alternative Chinese Language qualifications, including ApL Chinese (for non-Chinese speaking students) are accepted. (3) The ApL subjects do not include ApL Chinese (for non-Chinese speaking students).
